Climate Cafes are community gatherings that honor the ecological crisis while providing safe spaces to tend to our experiences. They are an opportunity for people to express their thoughts and feelings around what's unfolding and to be witnessed in their experience. Climate Cafes are not action oriented; they're not about shifting the outcome or figuring out what to "do." Rather, they're an opportunity to build an ecosystem of community, to cultivate resilience, and to continue to meet the unknown future from a place of connection - to self, community, and earth. All are welcome.
Hannah Smith holds a Masters in Social Work as well as an Advanced Certificate in Ecotherapy. She is a member of the Climate Psychology Alliance and is passionate about turning towards the ecology crisis from a place of embodied connection with the more-than-human world.
