Practical Ways to Protect Your Home From Wildfire

This presentation will display the full suite of home hardening and defensible space principles that homeowners and residents of La Plata County need to be aware of to be prepared for the current and so-called "wildfire season." We will focus on the often overlooked, high return on investment activities that you can accomplish in a half-day or less to immediately and significantly reduce wildfire risk where you live.

Alex Graf has worked for local non-profit Wildfire Adapted Partnership for seven years where day in and out his work has been to help landowners and residents fully understand wildfire risk and more importantly, to actually take action. He has lived in Durango since 2017.
