In November of 2022, in honor of National Novel Writing Month we set up a contest for local writers. We asked the community to send us their best first page. From the submissions, a panel of judges were to pick four winning pages to be read on the Page One Radio Program.
The Contest was a success and garnered over 100 original and unique entries. The authors, who represented a variety of ages, genders, cultures, and experiences submitted a multitude of genres including poetry, fantasy, memoir, historical fiction, and more.
The judges decided to add an additional page dedicated to a youth author and each winning submission was read aloud on the Page One Radio Program throughout the month of January.
2024 will be our third year running the contest!
