Join Indigenous artist Yolanda LaMone (Navajo, Hopi, Zuni) for an inspiring evening of art, culture, and creativity.
The evening begins with an artist talk exploring her work, influences, and connection to traditional pottery practices—open to all attendees. Following the talk, a hands-on pottery workshop will be offered to a limited number of participants.
NOTE: Please only register for this event if you are interested in participating in the workshop portion. If the registration is full for the event, you are still invited to join us for the talk, which will begin at 6pm.
Yolanda La Mone is a Navajo (Diné) artist from Kirtland, New Mexico. She learned to paint from her mother and aunt, who have been her lifelong inspirations. Her aunt, of Navajo, Hopi, and Zuni descent, passed down traditional designs and teachings that continue to influence Yolanda’s artwork today. Through her paintings, Yolanda honors her family’s creativity and the cultural traditions that shape her identity.
