November Topic:The Secret Power of a Good Opening
Why is writing a good opening so difficult? And even when a writer opens a story with everything they are supposed to: character, setting, tension, intrigue, story questions -- why is this so often not enough to hook a reader? We'll discuss these questions and more at our November meeting.
We hope you can join us!
Participants are encouraged to bring the first full page of their work in progress to share aloud, if they'd like.
We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:15 p.m. at the Durango Public Library.
Overlooking the Animas River, the Durango Public Library and Botanical Gardens is one of the most popular gathering spots in our community.
