A new topic every month!
January's writing topic: Class on the Page: The Unwritten Rules
As storytellers, we know that so much of our lives are made up of both written and unwritten rules. Some of the best stories focus on the unwritten rules, and what happens to characters when they break them.
How can writers make sure they are putting this type of conflict on the page? And what are the risks and rewards of doing so?
Please bring a page of your own work in progress to share at the meeting, as we discuss the pros and cons of breaking unwritten rules.
We hope you can join us!
The group is open to those interested in writing and the publishing process. Meetings are run by using a 'pass the torch' method; everyone is encouraged to participate, but it is not a requirement.
We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:15 p.m. at the Durango Public Library.
Overlooking the Animas River, the Durango Public Library and Botanical Gardens is one of the most popular gathering spots in our community.
